Kimberly N. Boone Johnson, LMHC, LCPC, LPC, is the founder and CEO of Mental Chatter, LLC. Kimberly has been in the fields of mental health, addiction, and wellness for 23 years. She is a licensed clinical therapist, certified master life coach, business coach, insight coach, author, and speaker. She started this company out of her dedication to serve those in need and her desire to increase education and awareness around mental health and wellness, aiming to make an impact whenever and wherever possible.
In her clinical work, Kimberly is trained to assess and treat various mental health disorders. She specializes in addressing anxiety, depression, addiction, family dynamics, life adjustments, career challenges, and marital or relationship issues, as well as spirituality and cultural considerations through individual, couple, family, and group therapy. Kimberly has experience working with people of all ages and diverse ethnic, artistic, and spiritual backgrounds. She believes in treating the whole person and emphasizes that we are connected through our mind, body, and spirit.
As a certified master life coach, Kimberly focuses on mindset work. Known as the "Mindset Strategist," she helps women of faith elevate their lives by teaching essential mindset strategies to show up confidently in all areas. Kimberly combines her clinical expertise, coaching skills, and spiritual principles to develop an effective assessment tool that helps clients overcome mindset challenges. Working with Kimberly, clients gain tools to achieve permanent mindset shifts, freeing them from being prisoners of negative thoughts or limited by false beliefs. She coined the phrase, "I think, I feel, I do," recognizing that our thoughts greatly influence our emotions and actions.
Kimberly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hampton University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. She is pursuing a Doctorate in Counselor Education & Supervision. She also earned a Women in Leadership certificate from Emory University. All her coaching certifications are from Transformation Academy and The Institute of Insight Coaching. Kimberly is a wife, mother, and First Lady. She loves spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and engaging in ministry with her husband and best friend, Bishop Reginald L. Johnson, Sr.
